products and photographs in our catalog or website, you may have thought of
some questions that can't wait to be answered. Hopefully, we have thought of

What is the quotation/specification process at Carl Stahl DecorCable?
For best results, please send us a drawing, including specifications. Using
your information, we will generate a detailed quotation that lists pricing,
delivery, and pertinent technical information. For more complicated projects,
we can provide engineering assistance and tensile analysis. If you require
specification or design assistance or require help in deciding the appropriate
system for your application, please contact our sales department.
I'd like to order from Carl Stahl DecorCable. How do I go about it?
First, make sure you have decided on exactly what you need. It is always
advisable to consult a salesperson and receive a quotation for your project.
Second, carefully review your quotation and the attached order form. Sign,
date, and fax the order form back to us. Any pre-order deposit requirements
will be clearly shown on your quotation. We begin production of custom orders
within 24 hours; stock orders are shipped same day, if possible. This is
normally enough to start your order in motion. We will call or fax you
immediately should something change concerning your order.
How fast will I get my order?
Orders for in-stock items are shipped same day, if possible. Production and
delivery times for non-stock and custom materials vary by project. However,
most cables and components can be produced and delivered in about two weeks.
Systems using rods require slightly longer depending on size and delivery
requirements. Replacement parts and small components are stocked in Chicago for
immediate shipment. Please contact our sales department for more details.
Do I need a deposit for a custom order?
Generally, a deposit is required to begin a project for custom materials. The
deposit is quoted on a project-by-project basis.
I want to revise or cancel my custom order. What are my options?
Normally, production of your custom order begins within 24 hours of receiving
your PO, so we cannot stop or modify it once it has been started. For orders of
stock merchandise, we will always accommodate your request to modify an order
if it hasn't shipped.
Do you offer credit? What are your payment terms?
Specific payment terms vary according to your project size and product choices. Please ask your salesperson for a copy of our payment and credit policy.
What is your pricing and shipping policy?
Pricing is in $US and is FOB our dock, Chicago. All pricing and specifications
are subject to change, without prior notice. Freight, handling and insurance
will be added to your order. Special crating charges may apply to oversize or
custom orders. All orders are shipped by UPS Ground unless otherwise specified.
I received a shipment with broken merchandise or a broken shipping
container. What do I do?
Inspect your shipment immediately upon arrival. If your order is not received
in satisfactory condition, keep all packaging and notify us within 48 hours of
receipt.
My order isn't what I expected. What do I do?
Compare the contents of your shipment to the packing slip and your original
order. Please report any problems or discrepancies to us within 48 hours of
receipt. We want you to be totally happy with your order.
I want to return or exchange something. How do I do that?
Stock merchandise in original, unopened packaging may be returned for credit
within 90 days of original invoice or exchanged. A restocking fee will be
charged on all returns. Call your salesperson to request a Return Authorization
Number before sending back any merchandise. Insure returns and exchanges for
the invoiced value of the merchandise. Please note that custom merchandise is
not returnable.
